Highland Glenn English Shepherds, stewarded by Tom and Krystal L. Beers, was established in early 2007 with our first English Shepherd “Earth Angel’s Eoin”. From that time, we have been actively training and breeding quality UKC registered English Shepherds true to the breed standard for pet, Service, sporting, and working homes.
Since 2008, we have been holistically raising English Shepherds — before the term “Natural Rearing” was much heard. Members of the Natural Rearing Breeder Connection Ltd and its strict Code of Ethics (and the NRBA before that), we have many years studying canine health, nutrition, and development. Our breeding program is built on the belief that puppies given the right start — Naturally Reared, thoughtfully bred, enriching environment, and boundless love — will thrive for a lifetime.
Currently, we are the only NRBC-verified English Shepherd breeder in the world committed at this level. However, we are working to involve and educate other breeders to work with and enlighten them to the benefits of Natural Rearing.

Honest, drama-free, professional breeders, we holistically raise high-quality purebred English Shepherds because we love every single aspect of the process. We produce a limited number of well-planned litters for people who appreciate the way our dogs and puppies are raised.
We believe strongly in responsible practices such as supporting health naturally, breeding to the standard, utilizing modern puppy raising programs, lots of love and attention, health testing, careful screening of potential homes, lifetime support of our puppy keepers, etc.
Over the years, we have raised many outstanding English Shepherds who have not only been wonderful family pets, working partners, and Service Dogs, but also successful in obedience, agility, Search & Rescue, tricks, and nose work.
Before we retire, we hope to be producing dogs that live to at least 15 years of age… and we don’t think that 18 or even 20 years is too much to aim for.
Natural Rearing is considerably more costly than conventional approaches — but we do it because it’s right. Our former puppies are currently living into their teens with full lives as seniors. Naturopathic Training
Krystal is the board Certified Small Animal Naturopath (CSAN) behind Radiant Animal Wellness, trained in holistic modalities including medical-grade essential oils, homeopathy, herbs, flower essences, and species-specific raw diets. She is a graduate of the American Council of Animal Naturopathy and a presenter and published author teaching raw feeding, essential oils with animals, natural immunity, and Natural Rearing breeding.
In 2023, Krystal co-founded, with 50+year veteran Boxer breeder Paula Vandervoort, the non-profit organization Natural Rearing Breeder Connection Ltd (NRBC).
