EARTH ANGEL’S EÓIN 2006-2011 15 years ago, we lost our beloved freckle-faced boy, Eóin. True to the meaning of his Gaelic name, Eóin was indeed a "blessing from Jehovah". Being our first English Shepherd in itself guarantees an irreplaceable spot in our hearts. He was one of those magnificent Sheppies we feel deserve a page [...]
It's Been a Busy Year By Krystal 2023 has been an especially busy year thus far! We've had the new English Shepherd puppy Tadhg to bring up, the kitchen garden to expand, pigs to raise, and camping on the ranch to promote. The thing that has taken the most patience, learning, and [...]
Ailagh 2012 - 2023 March 28, 2023 by Tom & Krystal On Saturday, March 25th our sweet Ailagh closed her eyes for the last time. This year has kicked us in the teeth again. It seems like only yesterday we met Ailagh for the first time, as a six-month-old youngster. Fahey was the [...]
by Tom Beers You died in our arms 7 weeks ago. 1/28/23 Today started out a beautiful sunny day and the mountains glimmered in their glory. Whoever said "it's a good day to die" is a liar. It's snowing now and soon you'll be covered under a white blanket. Even as a pup you [...]
We are incredibly happy to introduce you to our new English Shepherd- meet Tadhg! Tadhg came to us all the way from a Mennonite dairy farm in Ohio, a ten-day journey in transport. Needless to say, it was tough waiting for all that time! Life on the ranch has a lot in store for this [...]
FAHEY 2012 - 2023 January 28, 2023 by Krystal Sleep sweet, my darling freckle-face boy. Times like this knock the breath right out of me and leave me wondering if I’ll ever be able to breathe again. You were the firstborn puppy from our first litter of English Shepherds. I helped [...]
We live with three "senior" dogs now- Fahey, Ailagh, and Niamh. Time sure flies by. To look in their face or watch them run, you'd never know it! That is the power of Natural Rearing. Here is a great article with tips for living with a senior dog- https://twohunnyz.wixsite.com/rawnaturopathy/post/keeping-your-senior-dog-fit
We have always said that Natural Rearing is not a panacea. Things happen because there is environmental pollution completely out of our control. At the end of January 2021, we discovered a hard mammary tumor on Siobhan. Her behavior, energy, appetite, and mood were perfectly normal. The tumor was not there two months prior to [...]
Can it really be so long since I last posted? Apparently so. As you can guess, it's been busy on the Ranch. Life in general get's that way! We've dealt with personal health challenges, installed a septic system, welcomed another granddaughter into the family, raised a litter of Havanese puppies, and survived a pandemic... among [...]
Due to all of the restrictions surrounding Covid-19, we will not be having any English Shepherd litters this year. Things have been so uncertain and we just did not want to take the chance of puppies not being to reach their new homes. Thank you for understanding!
